You can calculate the drift and groundspeed with sine and cosine rule. from a sketch. No ruler and protractor required.
Hi Paul, thank you for your comment. while it is true, and if you wish to explain that approach please do, the curriculum calls for us to teach Triangles of velocity in the Microlight world.
Hi Adrian. I was using the CRP-1 for this exercise when learning to fly a Cessna 152. Having switched to a C-42 microlight, I was reluctant to adopt the Triangles of Velocity method (despite my instructor’s plea to give it a try ). Your video was really helpful and made the transition less painful (old habits and all that). Thanks for an excellent video and website. Happy flying.
